Nutrition: The Best Diet Plan

Updated: Mar 7, 2019

Are you trying to lose weight quickly? Have you picked a diet yet? Great! I have news for you... Just like my momma used to say: "If it sounds too good to be true, it usually is!". And to this day that woman has never been wrong.

Results come from two things: Good habits and consistency.

Let me start with this: There's a difference between dieting and nutrition. A diet is usually restrictive, repetitive, and generalized. One plan that fits all, if that makes sense. In contrast, nutrition is about health, about specific details about YOUR body to give it what it needs to function properly.

As a Certified Personal Trainer and Sport's Nutritionist, I tend to look at diets with an skeptical eye.

Take the Keto Diet, for example. It works in theory (extremely high fat consumption combined with a low carb). But if you have a sensitive GI track, or gall bladder or kidney issues, this diet is definitely not for you. Not to mention that long term consumption of 'bad' fats usually increases levels of LDL cholesterol. That's the one that can give you a heart attack.

"Here lays Susan. Amazing human being. Lover of dogs. Found dead of a massive coronary while trying to put another stick of butter in her morning coffee" ☕

It's funny but not really.

The point is that instead of finding the easiest diet to lose weight quickly, you should try to find a good nutritional plan that is sustainable and that fits YOU... Your body type, your lifestyle, your schedule, and your specific goal.

Nutrition is not about quick weight loss, it's about good habits. The weight loss happens as a RESULT of good nutrition and an active lifestyle. And like everything else, it just takes a little guidance and consistency.

Pick a plan, follow it, and stick with it. If you don't get the results you want, hit me up, I can help.
